Jean Paulin Fonkoua was appointed Afriland First Bank Group’s Executive Vice-President in charge of organisation, methods and information systems in 2007.

Prior to his appointment, he was the Chief Information Officer of Afriland First Bank, Cameroon for 12 years, and later of Afriland First Bank Group. These appointments are the logical outcome of his Mathematics and Computer Sciences studies at the Universities of Yaounde, Cameroon and the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan. He has also taken courses in a variety of areas like Finance, Risk Management, Monetics, etc. Mr. Fonkoua is equally chairman of Afriland First Bank Cameroon and the PKFokam Institute of Excellence Scholarship Board.
