After graduating from the Univesity of Yaounde in 1989, Mr. Jean-Paul Kamdem enrolled in the University of Limoges where he obtained a Masters degree in Economic Sciences in 1991 and a postgraduate certificate (DEA) in Macro-Economics in 1992.

The following year he obtained a Masters degree in Banking, Money and Finance from the University of Birmingham. He joined Afriland First Banlk Cameroon in 1994 where he started his career in the Research and Development Department from where he moved to the inspectorate, and then to the Marketing Department and to the Loans Department from where he moved to manage the Paris Business Office of Afriland First Bank from 2001 and 2014. He was appointed as an Executive Vice-Presidentof Afriland First Group since January 2018.
